Riqa'a script, and for the poster design I googled "posters." It was a good way to see contemporary poster designs, which seem to feature simplistic, blocky colors with motion to them. Most of them were pure words, but I opted not to make Mark a jumble of words. His life is a jumble of words already.

In spelling Mark's name, I was puzzled about whether to do the ك or the ق. The difference between the two is that, while they both make the hard "K" sound, the ك is made through forcing air against your pallet in the English way, while the ق makes the sound from the back of your throat. I spent an embarrassing amount of time going MarKUH? MarQUH? MarKUH? MarQUH?

Also he took a bet about acting like a beatnik poet in some dive, but once the spotlight was on him he got so nervous he forgot the crappy poem he was supposed to tell and just started spouting random emotions written across random members of the audience. They loved it. The poem "spoke to me, man, like from the heart."

I was away, so this slipped away and hid in the bottom of my bin. I have to admit that my first thought was that Marquh also looks very much like a 60's era folk singer and should have an acoustic guitar so that he can call the wind ‘Mariah’. Although the role of the poet of the Beat Generation suits him well...

‘Mary had a little cat
She fed it on tin cans.
And when the cat had kittens
 They came in Ford sedans.’

(Fingers snapping) ‘Cool, man! Real Cool!’

Native American languages are full of the so-called Hard K, usually indicated in spelling as Kh. Such as in Khim, Mickey’s horse.
