Cleo is indeed a hugger of epic proportions! Still, she kind of scares me sometimes. She can be sweet and loveable at one moment, and become a lethal weapon the next! It almost reminds me of the popular Japanese label of yandere: a girl who can be very sweetly innocent, and yet dangerously violent underneath, sometimes even psychopathic. I'm sure she doesn't mean it, and she only seems to use it in situations that really call for it, such as the battle scene near the castle in the previous installment, but in certain situations, like when she pummels Eleanor to the ground with her bloodied fists can be quite disturbing. That's not to say it's bad, it's actually really interesting. And what a strange tradition/custom. I had no idea Jaylene was responsible for them as her "wards". Here's a small tip for the last panel though, if you are interested of course, for the grass, you can add more weight and depth by having their feet actually press down on the grass. The Taar elder could even leave a small trail of bent grass as he walks up to her. It's just a small bit of advice that may or may not help.
