Stories and Their Rough Drafts

I would imagine everyone has noticed how often Zink has been updating lately. "Rarely" comes to mind, as well as "never" and "is that still a thing?" Well, yes, it is still a thing. Here's the thing about that thing. I've known for years that the version that I've been writing and producing is merely the first rough draft of the Zink story. By writing it and pushing through the hard parts, I figured that I would discover things about the characters and the settings that I would never have thought of in the first place. That has turned out to be true. It has turned out to be so true, in fact, that I've reached the point where what I've learned about the story no longer jives with what has been published. So, I need to start over.

In the meantime, before the second version is started, the Zink archive will not be removed from the internet. I want to do more one-shot stories like Hogwarts, except more canon, because that was just buckets of fun. I realize that where the story will leave off is kind of horrible, so if you have questions you want to ask the characters, you can do so.

Zink will be back, just in a more cohesive form with all the writing skills I've acquired since starting this project plus some. I am really excited about this story, and this time I'm going to wait to tell it until I actually can.

I thought I would have more to say on the matter, but nope: Zink rough draft #1 is ending now, it will be back later, there will be excited jabbering from me when it does. Thank you so much for reading it, you're all awesome :}
